History

Ghana, a country on the West Coast of Africa, was the first African country to gain independence from colonial rule in 1957. This inspired many other African countries to follow suit. Since then, Ghana has enjoyed political and economic stability while sustaining its vibrant culture.

Beauty

Ghana has many wonderful and historical attractions worthy of visiting, whether they be museums, restaurants, markets, or the stunning coastline.  The combination of the luxurious beaches, lively street markets, delicious food, and more make the city of Accra, Ghana’s capital. This will ring true whether the goal is to have a dance party on the beach, catch some waves, or enjoy a coconut in the sun.  Students can do all this and more as an AT participant.
